CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police have identified a man killed in a Chesterfield crash Monday morning in Chesterfield.

Officers responded to the crash in the 13100 block of Kingston Avenue just after 9 a.m.

Police said a 2015 Infiniti Q40 was traveling south on Kingston Avenue when it crossed the median, struck a tree and overturned multiple times.

One passenger, identified as Rashaad Matthews, 31, of Colonial Heights, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a second passenger remained with the vehicle, but the driver of the vehicle left the area on foot after the crash.

That driver, identified as Devontae B. Woodley, 26, later turned himself in to police.

The Petersburg man was arrested and charged with felony hit and run, reckless driving and not possessing a valid operator's license.

Police continue their investigation into this crash.
