Police: Ex-professional fighter wanted for strangling woman in Virginia

NORFOLK, Va. – A former professional mixed martial arts fighter is wanted for allegedly strangling a woman in Norfolk last month.

Brian “The Lion” Collette, 32, has an outstanding arrest warrant for aggravated assault for an incident that occurred in Norfolk on January 28.

Investigators say Collette and the alleged victim are known to each other.

Collette is described as a light-skinned black male, 6 foot 3 inches tall and 225 pounds.

His last known residence is in the 2400 block of Minnesota Avenue in Norfolk. Authorities say he is known to frequent martial arts gyms in the Norfolk area.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $750 for information leading to Collette’s arrest.

U.S. Marshals and the Norfolk Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Collette.
