Man critically injured in Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are investigating a shooting on Richmond's Southside Sunday evening that left a man critically injured.

Officers received a call for a person shot in the 200 block of Plazaview Road just after 7:55 p.m.

"RPD units arrived and found an adult male who had been shot," officers said. "He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries."

Officials said detectives are investigating, but no suspect information nor additional details were available at last check Sunday night.
