PETERSBURG, Va. -- A "COVID-compliant" Christmas parade will takeover Old Towne Petersburg on Saturday.
But instead of floats parading down the street, the floats will remain stationary while parade-goers take in the sights from the cars.
“This year has looked very different for everyone, but the Holiday season is always worth celebrating even if it’s in an altered format,” Petersburg Mayor Sam Parham said. “We’re excited to have this unique celebration in our community, and I hope everyone enjoys it this weekend!”
Parade-goers are asked to tune their car radios to 87.9 FM as they drive by the parade.
The parade is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Additional details and a map of the parade route can be found here.
