PETERSBURG Va. -- Police are investigating after a person was shot on S. South Street in Petersburg Thursday evening.
Police responded to the 200 block of S. South Street for a person shot around 5:45 p.m.
"Peterburg Police would like to advise at this time that no suspect or suspect vehicle is being sought in connection with the shooting," a police spokesperson said.
Officials said a white vehicle was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
