PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. -- An investigation is underway after a 29-year-old inmate at Riverside Regional Jail died while being examined by medical staff.
Officials say that the inmate was being examined around midnight on Tuesday we he went into medical distress.
Staff and Prince George County EMS performed CPR but the man, 29-year-old Michael Dillon, was pronounced dead shortly after.
The cause of death is unknown at this time but appears to be from natural circumstances, according to officials.
The cause of death will be officially determined by The Office of Chief Medicial Examiner.
