HOPEWELL, Va. -- Police are investigating after a man was shot outside of a Hopewell Apartment Complex on Monday evening.
Around 9:10P.M., police responded to the 1500 block of Piper Square Apartments after calls that multiple shots were fired and a person was injured.
Officers located a man who had been shot in the parking lot near the entrance to the apartment complex.
The victim was transported by Med-Flight to VCU Medical Center for treatment.
Hopewell Police are investigating. Specifics regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting are not yet known.
