CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A man has been hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing while fleeing from Virginia State Police.
Shortly before 8 am, Virginia State Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 10 in Chesterfield County.
The driver refused to stop and a police chase ensued.
The fleeing driver attempted to take the ramp to Interstate 95, lost control and crashed. The vehicle overturned and the driver was ejected.
He was flown to Chippenham Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Charges are pending.
