Shots fired reports prompt large police presence at Regency Mall

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Officers said there is a heavy police presence at Regency Mall after police received several 911 calls about shots fired Saturday night.

Police were dispatched to the 1400 block N Parham Road just after 9:05 p.m. for reports of shots fired.

"Henrico Police are on scene to clear the commercial establishment and to speak to witnesses who called police," Lt. M. C. Pecka with Henrico Police said. "There is a large police presence as officers arrive to assist in clearing the building and ensuring everyone’s safety."

Pecka said the department is in "the early stages of this call" and is working to make sure no one was injured.
