HENRICO COUNTY, Va. β€” Police have identified the woman killed in a crash in Henrico County on Tuesday.

The crash happened near the intersection of Kain and Willane roads just before noon. First responders arrived to find a Hyundai Elantra in a creek bed near a small bridge.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Wednesday morning, police identified her as Jasmine Senae Woody, 26.

"The preliminary investigation indicates Ms. Woody was traveling west on Kain Road when the vehicle ran off the road, striking a tree and the concrete pillar of a bridge before landing in the creek bed," police said.

Investigators are continuing to look into what caused the crash and believe speed was a factor.
