Man wanted in Southside shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have identified a suspect in a shooting on Richmond's Southside two weeks ago that left a man critically injured.

Corey Poag is being sought by detectives for a shooting in the 1300 block of Jefferson Davis Highwayat at 11:23 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, Richmond Police said in an email Friday.

"Officers were called to the parking lot of the 7-Eleven store for the report of a person shot," police said. "An adult male with a gunshot wound was located and transported to a local hospital with an injury that was considered life threatening."

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to find Poag.
