CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Chesterfield Police have identified the man killed in a Monday morning crash as 41-year-old
Earnest W. Loving III.
The crash was reported at about 9 a.m. on August 31 near the intersection of Hicks Road and Foxberry Drive.
"A 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling north on Hicks Road when it crossed the road's centerline, ran off the left side of the road, and struck a tree head-on," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. "Loving was transported to an area hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries."
An investigation into the cause of the crash remained on-going.
