RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Government Offices and Capitol Square will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 4, due to expected high winds and isolated and heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Isaias.
The Virginia Department of General Services announced Monday that the Capitol Square closure is necessary to protect individuals from potential hazards including blowing debris and falling limbs and trees.
Capitol Square will close at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, and is expected to reopen at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
