CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A search is underway for a missing infant and the woman police say abducted the child.
"On March 28, 2021, police received a report that Danielle R. Hicklin, 53, had taken Marcello A. Husband, who is about four months old, out of state several days earlier and had not returned," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote in an email. "At this point, the investigation indicates she is with Marcello in Bronx, New York. Detectives do not believe Marcello is in danger."
Hicklin, according to police, regularly babysits Marcello.
"The investigation indicates that Hicklin took Marcello to New York without his mother's permission and has refused to return with him," police said. "Detectives have obtained a warrant for Hicklin for abduction."
