DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. -- A man was injured when he was run over during the 11th annual Dinwiddie County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade Saturday afternoon.

An official with the Ford Volunteer Fire Department said the man was walking next to a trailer being pulled by a truck when the accident happened.

The victim tripped and one of his legs was run over by a wheel on the trailer, the official said.

EMS units that were on the scene for the parade treated the victim at the scene.

He was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries, officials said.
