HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Two Henrico detectives had to take a second look Thursday after the spotting a man they believed to be wanted for a Henrico County burglary.
The detectives were inside Second Chance Exchange and Gold Pawn shop on Jefferson Davis Highway in Chesterfield County.
Police said the detectives were following up on a Henrico burglary case that took place on December 9, at a residence in the 500 block of Wadeward Road.
That investigation led to Robert Earl Crouch Jr. being identified as a suspect.

Crime insider sources say the detectives were in the back of the pawn shop scrolling surveillance video investigating items pawned by Crouch, when the suspect walked through the front door of the business.
Sources say the detectives approached Crouch and asked for his name, when a scuffle broke out inside the pawn shop.
The detectives were uninjured during the altercation and Crouch was taken into custody.

Further investigation also linked Crouch with burglary and grand larceny for another burglary that occurred on December 12, 2016 in the 13000 block of Chancery Court in Henrico.
Crime insider sources also say detectives are looking at additional pawn shops along the Jefferson Davis corridor to see if Crouch pawned additional stolen items.
