NORTHUMBERLAND, Va. – A woman was killed Thursday evening in a single vehicle crash in Northumberland County. The crash occurred at approximately 6:38 p.m., on Route 360, east of Owl Town Road.
A 2004 Ford Mustang driven by Michele A. Acheson was traveling west on Route 360, when it ran off the road to the right and struck a tree.
Acheson, 55 of Callao, died at the scene, police said. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation, by Virginia State Police Trooper E. English.
