Tropical Storm Hermine closes Water Country USA Saturday, Busch Gardens limited

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Water Country USA will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg will run under limited operations because of the expected arrival of Tropical Storm Hermine.

The water park is expected to reopen on Sunday and Labor Day, and will conclude its season with an extra weekend of operation from Sept. 10-11.

Busch Gardens plans to open as scheduled from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday, but certain ride operations may be affected by the weather.

Busch Gardens Bier Fest will proceed as planned, but some of the festival’s activities will be moved indoors to Das Festhaus.

The fireworks show scheduled for Saturday night at Busch Gardens will be moved to Sunday at 9:30 p.m.

In addition, the park will stage two performances of the new show “All For One” on Sunday, concluding its run for the season. Show times are 8:45 p.m. and 10 p.m.
