RICHMOND, Va. -- Scattered showers will push across the Commonwealth this morning, followed by isolated showers this afternoon. The chance of rain will be higher near the coast. Highs will reach 65° to 70°.
The area of low pressure will push away from the coast on Tuesday. There will be some clouds and the chance of a shower near the coast, but the rest of the area will see some sunshine. Highs will reach the upper 70s to around 80.
A ridge of drier and much warmer weather will arrive for the middle and end of the week. Highs will reach 85° to 90° Wednesday through the weekend as it turns a little more humid. There may be a few pop-up afternoon storms heading into the weekend, especially in the mountains and far northern Virginia. As of now, it looks like we should see highs of 80° or warmer through the end of the month.
