RICHMOND, Va. -- A car crashed into a power pole along Cary Street Road early Wednesday morning.
While the crash damaged the power pole near Woodlawn Avenue, Dominion Virginia Power said the crash did not cause anyone to lose power.
Dominion crews planned to begin repairs on the power pole at about 7 a.m., so traffic may be impacted along Cary Street Road during that time.
The crash scene is near Mary Munford Elementary School.
Richmond Police are investigating whether alcohol played a role in the crash.
The driver who crashed into the power pole was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police have not yet released that driver's condition.
