CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Power has been restored after more than 3,000 people were without power in the Woodlake area of Chesterfield Sunday morning.
Dominion Power reported that 3,076 people lost power in the area due to a blown circuit. Dan Genest with Dominion Power said that the outage began at 9:30 a.m. because of an arrester failure.
Residents reported hearing multiple explosions in the area at the time of the outage.
While the estimated time of restoration was listed as being between noon and 2 p.m. on the Dominion Power outage map, crews were able to restore power to the area a little before 10:30 a.m.
