POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. -- A death investigation is underway in Powhatan after a man's body was found inside a home Sunday night. The body, found in the ransacked home, had strangulation marks on the neck. Investigators have deemed the man's death suspicious.
Investigators were called to the home along the 2200 block of Ridge Road, near Route 60 and 522, around 8 p.m. Sunday. Family members said they called the Sheriff's Office because they had not heard from the man in several days.
Police have not yet released any additional information at this time.
