Henrico victim beaten with baseball bats by group of robbers

HENRICO, Va. – A victim was taken to the hospital after he said that three men attacked him – two with baseball bats.

The crime took place on Dec. 14, 2015, in the 1900 block of N. 19th Street. Henrico Police responded to the scene for a robbery report.

The victim told police that he passed three unknown black males sitting on the guardrail as he walked near 19th and Carroll Streets.

One of the men grabbed the victim, police said, and started fighting with him while demanding money.

That’s when the other two men started hitting the victim with baseball bats.

The victim said he did have money taken from his pocket before the three fled on foot.

The victim was transported by rescue to VCU Medical Center for treatment.

The suspects are described as black males between 21 and 30 years of age.  One had braided hair.
