Man heard screeching tires before he was shot in ankle

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are looking for the person responsible for shooting a man who was sitting inside his home Sunday afternoon.

The victim said he was in his home on Rosecrest Avenue when he heard a tires screeching just before 3 p.m. That’s when he realized he had been shot in his ankle.

The victim, who was transported an area hospital with not life-threatening injuries, said he was not able to see the car that sped off.
