HENRICO, Va. -- Henrico County police have staffed extra officers at Hungary Creek Middle School this week, after vandalism reported to be threatening in nature was discovered in a school bathroom.
Parents reached out to CBS 6 after they learned the news from their children, who attend the school.
The vandalism was said to be a statement referencing bombs and guns, and a date in October.
Similar writings were found twice on a bathroom wall, sources told CBS 6 reporter Wayne Covil.
Police said they are taking the matter seriously and had extra officers in and around the school.
Parents also said they are taking the matter seriously.
"Yea it would worry me if it was in elementary school, just because of all the school issues, that are going on everywhere else,” said concerned parent Leslie Schaufelberger.
