HOPEWELL, Va. — A husband and wife has a scary situation as waters were rising in Hopewell along Route 10 Sunday night.
Jennifer Langford posted the above video to WTVR CBS 6 Facebook page. She said her husband was driving east on Route 10 just before the bridge in Hopewell along the Appomattox River when the road was flooded.
“Oh my Lord, just get us out of this,” she can be heard saying in the video.
“Scared me to death because we couldn’t turn around. Once we got to the other side by the marina we turned around,” she wrote. “Westbound is higher so no problems, but we noticed they closed it completely.”
Langford reports eastbound Route 10 is now closed at the Hopewell bridge.
