A large area of high pressure has been across the region for a few days. This has provided mainly clear skies, low humidity and below-normal temperatures. Sunday through Wednesday mornings marked the coolest low temperatures since late May.
As the high moves a bit east of our area, warmer and slightly more humid air will return over the next few days. A cold front moving through over the weekend will bring back cooler readings early next week. Autumn officially begins on Wednesday, September 23.
