Southside shooting leaves man wounded

RICHMOND, Va. — Police are investigating a shooting that left a man was wounded on Richmond’s Southside Friday night.

When officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of the Midlothian Turnpike just before 11 p.m., they found a man shot in the stomach.

Paramedics took the victim, who had injuries described as not life-threatening, to an area hospital.

As of 8 p.m. Saturday, police had not released a suspect description.
