Former UVA standout Justin Anderson saw his life change this week when the Dallas Mavericks selected him 21st overall in Thursday's NBA Draft...becoming the first Cav taken in the first round in 20 years. That night....Anderson celebrated with family and close friends...today...his hometown fans got a chance to say congratulations to him.
Anderson was at the Spotsylvania Towne Center Saturday afternoon signing autographs...taking pictures and receiving well wishes from about 200 of his biggest supporters. Before he became a star at Montrose Christian in Maryland, Anderson played at Courtland Middle School in Spotsylvania County.
He mentioned to me before the signing that this would be his last big event before the real work begins in Dallas.
