RICHMOND, Va. — A man rescued from the James River Sunday is in stable condition.
According to Lieutenant Armstrong with the Richmond Fire Department, crews responded to a person in distress north of Hollywood Rapids around 3:45 p.m. A bike crew already on the island made contact with the man just after 4 p.m.
River rescue crews deployed a boat and rescued the man at 4:35 p.m. The cause and manner of the man’s injuries will not be released, Armstrong said.
