RICHMOND, Va. - Police are searching for a "person of interest" after several thefts at the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Capitol Police said 30-year-old Ameenah Kadija Franks is wanted for her involvement in multiple larcenies at VDOT's Richmond headquarters.

"Franks is also a Person of Interest in multiple larcenies from multiple buildings during her frequent travels from Maryland to localities throughout Virginia," Capt. Randall E. Howard wrote in a news release.

She is described as a black female, five feet seven inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes and has a tattoo on her left arm.

Franks is believed to be driving a silver Honda Odyssey with eyelashes on the minivan's headlights. The vehicle has Maryland temporary tags 330-251T.

If you have seen Franks or have information that could help investigators, call the Division of Capitol Police Investigation Section at 804-786-2505.
