Chesterfield man killed when car overturned on I-95

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. — A Chesterfield man was killed Friday morning when his car overturned on Interstate 95 in Prince George County. The man was identified as Wilbert L. Banks, 23, of North Chesterfield, according to Virginia State Police.

“A 2007 Saturn was traveling south on Interstate 95 when it ran off the road right into the median onto Route 301, overturning and ejecting the driver,” Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Vick said. Banks was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

The single-vehicle crash happened at about at 2:29 a.m., about one mile south of Exit 41.
