Man shot while driving in Chesterfield neighborhood

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police are looking for the person who fired a gunshot that struck a man driving in Chesterfield County. The man suffered a non-life threatening injury in the Thursday night shooting, according to Chesterfield Police.

“Police were dispatched to the 6700 block of West Road for a report of shots fired. As officers were responding, the Emergency Communications Center received multiple calls reporting shots fired in the area of Rollingwood Apartments and Stevens Hollow Drive,” Chesterfield Police spokeswoman Elizabeth Caroon wrote in an email. “Officers located an adult male victim who was struck by a bullet as he was driving on Sexton Drive between Kim Drive and Stevens Hollow Drive. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Chippenham Hospital by a relative.”

Two homes along the 6400 block of Sexton Drive were also struck by bullets. No one in the homes was hurt.
