In today’s viral video, we watch a man’s alleged proposal take a very different turn that how he thought it would go.
Michael Joseph posted this very intimate video of his alleged marriage proposal, recorded on a hidden camera he had set up in the car. Total disclosure – we can’t say if it’s really an authentic engagement proposal. We have our doubts since it is the only video posted from the recently created account.
Let it serve as a warning to other men, regardless.
Michael said he met his girlfriend two years ago and their first date was at McDonald’s, because “I’ve never been good at planning in advance.”
Michael claimed that throughout the years, his girlfriend Ann joked that one day he would propose to her by using a chicken nugget box.
But when it came to the real-deal, Ann wasn’t acting very amused.
The video shows that he allegedly took her to the exact location of their first date and slipped an engagement ring inside a Crispy Chicken Deluxe burger.
“Will you marry, me?” he asked sincerely.
All verklempt, she can’t finish a sentence, and finally through laughter and tears she said:
“You can’t ask me to marry you in a chicken sandwich.”
“Surprise,” he said.
But still he slipped a greasy ring on her finger — on the wrong hand.
“But everyone is in on this,” he said.
Ann supposedly rejected his proposal, but according to YouTube summaries – they didn’t break up over this.
“We agreed to wait longer until it’s time to get engaged,” Michael wrote on YouTube.
*CBS 6 did reach out to the Michael Joseph, and asked if the video was real or fake. We haven’t heard back yet.*
