VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- A $20,000 reward was offered for information that led to the arrest of the person who tied-up a dog and fatally set it on fire. The dog's body was found Friday when emergency crews responded to a brush fire 1200 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.

A necropsy determined the dog was alive when it was set on fire, WTKR reported. Investigators also said the dog's front and rear legs were bound together.

Money for the $20,000 reward was collected by the Humane Society of the United States, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and anonymous donors.
