RICHMOND, Va. -- A traffic stop turned into a police chase that ended in a crash Wednesday night in Richmond. The pursuit started around 7:40 p.m. after Virginia State Police said they attempted to stop a vehicle for a tint violation at 21st Street and Keswick. After a brief chase, there was a single vehicle accident. The vehicle hit a tree at 16th and Hull Street.
The driver was taken into custody for outstanding warrants, felony alluding police and driving without a license. The passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
