RICHMOND, Va. -- A man was taken into surgery after he was wounded in an early Sunday morning shooting. Richmond Police responded to reports of a man down in the 600 block of Stockton Street sometime after 4 a.m.
There police found a man in his mid-40's on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Paramedics took the man to VCU Medical Center where he immediately went into surgery. His condition has not yet been released.
Police have not released information about a suspect in the shooting and said the situation remained under investigation.
