RICHMOND, Va. — WTVR CBS 6 is proud to announce the newsroom and its journalists have been nominated for 22 Emmy Awards by The National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. WTVR’s nomination total is the most of any station in Central Virginia and tied for second most in the region, which includes Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
“I’m thrilled that my colleagues and I here at WTVR CBS 6 were able to garner 22 Emmy nominations,” anchor-reporter Greg McQuade, a multiple Emmy Award winner, said. “I think it demonstrates the high quality of work we produce day in and day out at WTVR. It is always a distinct honor being recognized by your peers in the broadcasting industry.”
