HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- You would not expect anyone to hurt your child when they are taking care of them.
However, Henrico County Police said Karen Goode is a facing felony child neglect charge when she was caring for a child last year.
In September, police said they responded to VCU Medical Center for an infant with injuries consistent with abuse.
Court documents show Goode was indicted for the child abuse charges earlier this week.
CBS 6 also learned that Goode was also indicted for aggravated malicious wounding in November of last year.
Documents revealed that it happened on the same day as the alleged child abuse incident.
CBS 6 spoke with neighbors off camera. They said they were aware of the charges but did not want to talk about them, as it is a sensitive topic.
CBS 6 also went to Goode's home Friday afternoon, however no one was home.
