RICHMOND, Va. —  A Richmond police officer was in the right place at the right time and helped save a hotel guest.  Fourth Precinct Officer Mark James was walking through a hotel as part of his regular patrol when a guest ran up for his help. They said someone was unresponsive in the pool and needed his help.

The officer found a man face down in the hot tub. James jumped in and began to administer life-saving treatment, according to Richmond Police.

An emergency call was made and medical help arrived to rush the man to the hospital.

Hospital doctors told James, soggy and anxious, that the man had survived. Although he probably would not have without the care Officer James provided.
