Cafeteria worker arrested for possession with intent to distribute in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Henrico Public Schools employee has been arrested for possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.

Henrico police said 37-year-old Cynthia Diane Barton “was engaged in illegal activities in the 100 block of East Gray Street” that led to her being charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of Spice with intent to distribute.

Police said that “there has been no evidence to indicate that any of Barton’s activities occurred on HCPS property.”

Barton is listed in the Henrico school’s directory as a nutrition services manager at Montrose Elementary School in Sandston.

School officials said Barton is on leave while police continue their investigation.
