Hokies Hudson drops 32 in win over Wake Forest

Virginia Tech freshman Jalen Hudson set a new Hokie ACC tournament record with 32 points as VT knocked off Wake Forest 81-80 in the first round. The Hokies now play Miami late Wednesday night

Alonzo Nelson-Ododa returned to Richmond Spiders practice on Tuesday after missing a month with an eye injury. He should be available later this week in the A-10 tournament.

Guards Kendall Anthony of Richmond and Treveon Graham of VCU were named first team all A-10. Rams guard Briante Weber won his third straight Defensive Player of the Year award, while Spiders' junior ShawnDre Jones was named the 6th man of the year

In the girls 3A semifinal games, Broadway beat John Marshall 51-50 and Turner Ashby got by Petersburg 60-49

The Manchester boys and Atlee girls won 5A state indoor track and field champioships Tuesday
