RICHMOND, Va. -- Three people were injured when someone opened fire at a South Richmond apartment early Sunday morning. Police responded reports of gun fire at the Lafayette Gardens Apartments in the 2200 block of Ruffin Road around 4:45 am.
Investigators said someone walked up to the complex and opened fire at one of the units. Bullets hit three people inside. Paramedics took the three victims to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
Richmond Police continue to investigate the shooting.
