WILSON, North Carolina — An estimated $4 million worth of gold was stolen from a truck off Interstate 95 near Wilson, North Carolina. The FBI and North Carolina law enforcement are investigating Sunday evening’s theft, according to WRAL.com. Two armed security guards said they were traveling from Miami to Massachusetts with a shipment of silver and gold when they pulled over due to mechanical problems with their truck. With the truck pulled over, sheriff’s investigators said three men in a white van approached the truck, ordered the guards to the ground, tied their hands behind their backs and forced them to walk into the woods. The suspects then took three barrels of gold and left the area.
