STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — Authorities said a man was shot and killed Sunday afternoon during a dispute in the parking lot of a Stafford County restaurant.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched  to the Wings to Go restaurant at 435 Garrisonville Road around 3 p.m.

Stafford County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bill Kennedy said that the initial investigation indicates individuals inside two vehicles exchanged gunfire.

Kennedy said one man, who got out of his vehicle at some point during the incident, was shot and fatally wounded in the parking lot.

Additionally, two people inside the second vehicle were shot. Kennedy said “fled the scene and drove an area hospital where they are being treated.

“Stafford Count Deputies and Detectives are on scene, in both locations, investigating the incident,” Kennedy said. “The investigation is obviously in the early stages and no further information is available.”
