CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- Two school buses were involved in a crash Monday morning around 8:30 a.m., at Iron Bridge and Whitepine Roads in Chesterfield County.
Two school buses and another vehicle were involved in the crash, according to Chesterfield Police representative, Elizabeth Caroon. There were students on the buses, which were headed from Meadowbrook High to Chesterfield Technical Center.
Seven students and one adult were transported to the hospital, with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
A car and two buses were heading east on Iron Bridge Road approaching Whitepine Road. The car, a small silver passenger car, was slowing down to stop at the light; as the car slowed, it was rear-ended by a school bus. That school bus was then rear-ended by another school bus, police said.
Each school bus driver was charged with following too closely. The driver of the first bus was Glenda Eacho, age 67. The driver of the second bus was Judy Keyser, age 65.
