DALLAS – While many Virginia schools were closed due to snow, a teacher in Texas is bringing the heat. Scot Pankey, a theater director at A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School in Dallas, made a music video to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” Pankey and his students made the video as part of a class project. The funky clip shows the teacher dancing around the school with his students.

“We are a project-based school — there are only two in the Metroplex — and that means you give the students a project, put them in teams, and they have to come up with solutions. They had three weeks to work on it, then present as a group what they learned,” Pankey told the Dallas Morning News.

His students shot the video in a single take.

“This is a great example of how a bunch of technology students let go of their fears, trusted their teacher and got down to Uptown Funk!!!” the YouTube description states.
