RICHMOND, Va. — Before becoming one of the most successful touring acts in the world, the Dave Matthews Band got its start playing bars and college parties around Virginia. Today the band announced its summer tour dates and it includes two stop in their home state.
- May 23, 2015 in Bristow, Virginia (outside Washington, D.C.)
- July 11 in Virginia Beach
This summer marks a significant change for the band and its fans. To this point, a typical Dave Matthews Band concert would consist of one, long music set. This summer however, the band will divide its show into two full sets — similar to what Phish has done for years.
The 2015 North American tour will kick off on May 13 in Austin, TX and includes two-night stands in Camden, NJ, Saratoga Springs, NY, Noblesville, IN, East Troy, WI, West Palm Beach, FL and Englewood, CO. The band will play its traditional Labor Day weekend at The Gorge Amphitheatre on Sept 4-6.
