CHARLES CITY COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police have released the name of a 34-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle wreck Friday in Charles City County.
The crash happened at Route 5 (John Tyler Memorial Highway) and Route 658 (Kimages Road) just after 12:30 p.m.
State police said Shandy T. Posey, of Prince George County, was killed when his SUV traveling east on Route 5 ran off the road and hit a tree.
Officials said Posey was not wearing a seatbelt.
