It was raining pretty hard that afternoon when he noticed the soldier and woman at a table. Rackley said the woman, whom he identified as Ms. Delphine, was thanking the soldier for buying her lunch.

Rackley said he was told Ms. Delphine had been standing in the parking lot when the soldier invited her into the restaurant and bought her a meal. He said he witnessed others in the restaurant buy food for with Ms. Delphine as well.

The heartwarming scene moved Rackley to take the photo and share it on social media. He said Ms. Delphine’s family later reached out to him in an effort to find and thank the soldier.
